Jenn is a leadership speaker, trainer and certified executive coach who helps professional women committed to having a positive impact learn the mental strategies to excel at work and thrive in life.
Jenn came to the leadership development field by way of a marketing career. After surviving a brain hemorrhage while on a business trip, Jenn was inspired to help other business leaders become a more positive force in their own lives and in their companies, families and communities. She is on a mission to elevate quality of life around the world, one person at a time.
In the 12 years since, Jenn has helped thousands of leaders at such organizations as Genoa Healthcare, BNY Mellon and American Express make positive changes in their way of working and way of life.
She is a certified coach by the NeuroLeadership Institute and International Coach Federation and an award-winning researcher in the field of communication, collaboration and influence.
Prior to starting her own company, Jenn was a Senior Consultant with the pioneering executive coaching and assessment firm Kaplan DeVries and the Senior Client Development Consultant in Gallup's wellbeing and work consulting practice. She has an M.A. in Communication Research from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a B.A. in Communication Studies from Virginia Tech.
She’s also a working mom trying her best to figure life out like the rest of us!
1. Do I need to do anything ahead of time?
Yes! You will receive pre-work after registration. In short, we will ask that you get feedback from people who know you and your work the best (we will send you specific questions and guidelines about who to ask). We recommend that you give those people two weeks to return their feedback.
2. I've done a lot of coaching/therapy/retreats/trainings/personality assessments/self-help books--how is this different?
Me too, sister! Here is what I know after 10+ years of being both student and teacher, researcher and coach: When it comes to women making substantive changes in their lives, there is Method and there is Magic. The Method is everything the research and our 10+ years of experience have taught us about what the world's best leaders do and how people change. And then there's The Magic--when you bring smart, ambitious women together talking about their lives. This weekend is all about both.
3. What is the format like?
It will be a combination of Jenn teaching, personal reflection time, and meaningful conversation with the entire group and in breakouts. The space is designed so that we can comfortably all gather together and so you can tuck yourself away for a few minutes too.
4. Can I bring my colleagues with me?
We will be doing deep inner work, and you will get the most out of this experience if you can be wholly, authentically, openly yourself. Please consider anyone you might invite in light of this. I can tell you this: The women I have worked with in past intensives are some of the most generous, grounded, brilliant people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Even if you come alone, you will leave with a tribe.
5. What is the cancellation policy? Are there refunds?
Any kind of deep inner work can bring up fear and emotional resistance. We trust that you were brought here for a reason and you trust yourself to make the decision that is right for you, so for this reason we ask for your complete commitment.
At the same time, we understand that life (and germs) happen. If you need to excuse yourself due to illness or a major change in life circumstances, of course your registration fee will be refunded.
6. Can I come for only one day?
The weekend is structured as a narrative process of reflection, insight, vision and planning. For this reason, your participation in both days is required.
7. How soon do I need to decide?
We wish we could accommodate everyone at any time, but we expect this intensive to sell out quickly. Plus you need time to put appropriate thought and energy into your pre-work.
"Gave me clarity and confidence during a crucial moment of career transition. Her framework enabled me to move past some long-standing roadblocks to professional development. I came away from the weekend with an action plan as well as a much-needed dose of candor about how much my team values me."
